Hi, I’m Jessie Owens,

the photographer here at Folklore Photo Co! My style of photography lands somewhere between lifestyle + documentary photography. I do not typically do your standard “pose + smile at the camera” bit. I want to make your session into a super fun play date and not something full of dread. I love to embrace the real life, the imperfect, the casual chaos. I want to collaborate with you to create this chapter of your story together. I have been using photography to tell stories since 2010. My goal is to create a photo album that you and your family get to look through as they grow and remember exactly how this chapter in your life felt. Like the photos that filled our albums when we were little. Anyone can take a good photo but I want to do more than that.
